YEP STL Grant Guidelines

YEP (Youth Engaged in Philanthropy) is a program led by high school students striving to make a substantial impact on the Greater St. Louis area by evaluating and providing grants to youth-focused, nonprofit organizations that share our vision.

Funding Areas

YEP will provide grants for programs or projects in the following areas:

    • Enrichment in the arts and sports.
    • Mentoring programs. We are looking for programs that:
      • Provide educational or personal guidance, or
      • Empower youth.
    • Fostering safe communities for children. We want to support:
      • Community spaces where kids can have fun and be safe, or
      • Outreach programs that engage kids.

Size of Grants

YEP has a total of $10,000 to give away. We hope to fund multiple organizations with this money.

Eligibility

  • Applicant organizations must provide services in the St. Louis region.
    Applicant must be an IRC section 501(c)(3) organization.
  • YEP does not provide grants to schools or places of worship.

Timeline

  • December 10, 2017: Applications are released
  • January 19, 2018: Applications are closed
  • May 6, 2018: Awards are announced
  • Applicants will be subject to an interview in the spring of 2018.
