Agency Fundholder Spotlight: The Child Advocacy Center of Northeast MO

YouthBridge Community Foundation of Greater St. Louis offers endowment building services to help nonprofit agencies generate income for longer-term initiatives. Delivering access to low-cost, high-quality investment solutions and education on endowments is only the start. YouthBridge assists with the entire process – from establishing an endowment fund to financial reporting that creates the greatest impact. YouthBridge also provides matching funds each year to child-serving nonprofits that start or add to their endowment!

Organizations with endowment funds at YouthBridge are called Agency Fundholders. Each month we spotlight one Agency Fundholder to shine light on these meaningful relationships. This month we feature The Child Advocacy Center of Northeast Missouri. Julie Seymore, Executive Director, responded to our questions.

Q. In what ways has the endowment changed your long-term vision or expanded the possibilities for your organization’s future?

A. Our endowment with YouthBridge has created a foundation of long-term stability and sustainability. It has also allowed us to dream bigger, giving us the confidence to plan strategically, invest in innovation, and expand programming.

Q. If another nonprofit leader asked whether starting an endowment is YouthBridge is worth it, what would you say – and why?

A. The CAC continues to contribute to our endowment due to our deep commitment to ensuring that children and families impacted by abuse will always have a safe place to turn – now and in the future.

Q. What recent moments or milestones have made you especially proud – the kind that remind you why you do this work?

A. An endowment is absolutely worthwhile because it demonstrates long-term stability and strategic foresight, which build credibility with donors and funders alike. When supporters see that we are investing in our future, it sends a strong message that we are committed to sustainability and responsible stewardship.

Q. Do you have any exciting news or events coming up for Camp Rainbow?

A. This year we proudly celebrate 25 years of child advocacy – a milestone that honors our commitment to protecting children, supporting families, and giving hope to those impacted by abuse. As we reflect on how far we have come, we also look ahead with renewed passion and purpose to continue this vital work for generations to come.
