Agency Fundholder Spotlight: Lift for Life Academy
YouthBridge Community Foundation of Greater St. Louis helps nonprofits build Endowment Funds that promote long-term stability, generate future income, and strengthen donor trust. YouthBridge provides affordable investment management, endowment education, personalized guidance, financial reporting, and annual Matching Funds for eligible child-serving nonprofits. Through these services, our staff works alongside organizations to help sustain their missions and secure their long-term impact.
Nonprofits with Endowment Funds at YouthBridge are called Agency Fundholders. Each month, YouthBridge spotlights one Fundholder, celebrating partnerships that strengthen connections across our community.
As students head back to school, we are pleased to highlight Lift For Life Academy and its Lift for Life Academy Foundation Endowment with YouthBridge. This time of year brings a natural focus to students, learning and the opportunities that can shape what comes next. Lift For Life Academy prepares students for life beyond graduation, making its Endowment a fitting example of how today’s support can help create opportunities for students well into the future. Chief Advancement Officer Becky Moss shares her perspective on the Endowment and what it makes possible for Lift For Life Academy students.
Q. Looking ahead, what possibilities or future impact do you see for your organization because of your Endowment with YouthBridge?
Our Endowment creates a lasting pathway for Lift For Life Academy graduates to pursue higher education with greater financial confidence. As it grows, so does our ability to provide college scholarships that open doors, expand possibilities, and help more Urban students achieve their dreams.
Q. What vision or values guide your decision to continue growing your Endowment through additional contributions?
We believe every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their aspirations beyond high school, regardless of financial circumstances. Growing our Endowment reflects our commitment to access, opportunity, and long-term impact—ensuring future generations of graduates have resources to pursue a college education.
Q. If another nonprofit leader asked whether establishing an Endowment with YouthBridge is worth it, what would you tell them — and why?
Absolutely. An Endowment provides an opportunity to turn today’s generosity into a lasting source of support. Partnering with YouthBridge allows organizations to build sustainable resources while honoring donor intent and creating meaningful, long-term impact and outcomes.
Q. Beyond your Endowment, does Lift For Life Academy have any exciting news, milestones, or upcoming events you’d like to share with the community?
LFLA prepares students for life beyond graduation through dual college enrollment and career experiences. We’re excited about our new athletic field campaign, creating opportunities for students to grow and thrive. We’re also gearing up for our annual Fashion Show on April 18, 2027, at The Ritz-Carlton.
