Brackets for Good Tournament 2017

YouthBridge Community Foundation is excited to announce that sixty-four St. Louis area charities are gearing up for their chance to dance – in a charitable giving tournament.

This year’s Brackets for Good St. Louis Tournament kicks off on Friday, February 24th. YouthBridge Community Foundation is a Presenting Sponsor for the charitable giving tournament, which raised more than $180,000 for St. Louis area charities last year.

Brackets for Good is a competitive bracket-style fundraising tournament in which donors compete against other donors to raise money for their favorite charities. Sixty-four St. Louis area charities are paired against each other and will attempt to out-fundraise their opponents to advance to the next round

Each week, a group is eliminated, much like the March Madness basketball tournament. The winner receives a $10,000 prize from YouthBridge Community Foundation, as well as increased exposure.

The six-round tournament takes place over five weeks. Each of the first four rounds last a full week, and the semifinal and championship rounds each last three days.

YouthBridge Chief Executive Officer, Mike Howard, said Brackets for Good is an exciting way to engage donors and increase public awareness about important causes. “YouthBridge Community Foundation is dedicated to building strong communities by bridging the resources of donors with community needs. By helping bring the Brackets for Good tournament to St. Louis, we’re doing exactly that. We’re hopeful Brackets for Good will have an even greater impact this year,” said Howard.
