Dance Moves STL

Dance Moves STL (formerly St. Louis Dancing Classrooms) uses the power of social dance to address whole child development. Through in-school residency programs, students learn teamwork, communication, respect, empathy, self-confidence, and leadership while engaging in meaningful physical activity. In addition, DMSTL residencies foster cultural learning by introducing students to social dances from around the world. Through exploring the history, music, and traditions behind each dance, students develop cultural awareness, curiosity, and appreciation for diverse people and communities.

Students who feel supported, confident in their abilities, and accepted by their peers experience greater academic success. A gift to the Dance Moves STL Endowment helps ensure equitable access to arts education and whole-child development programming for ALL children across the St. Louis region.
