New Board Members

YouthBridge Community Foundation welcomes our newest Board members. We look forward to their contributions, and appreciate their time and willingness to support our mission.

Stacy Clay

Director of Community Affairs, First Bank

Mr. Clay’s appointment to the Board builds on First Bank’s long-standing involvement with YouthBridge, most notably as sponsor of the Youth Engaged in Philanthropy program. He first connected with YouthBridge leadership while acting as Executive Director of College Summit, an organization providing college access resources for first generation college students. Mr. Clay spent five years as Deputy Superintendent of Student Support Services for the St. Louis Public School District, and also serves on the University City, City Council. As Board member, Mr. Clay will participate on the Grants Committee and says, “I look forward to supporting YouthBridge in its very innovative mission.” (Pictured)

Ashland Tate

Operations Manager, World Wide Technology

Prior to his current role, Mr. Tate was Executive Director of Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis, a program in which he participated as a child and continues to serve as a volunteer. Through his work there, he learned of YouthBridge Community Foundation and their role in the community.

Encouraged by Boys Hope Girls Hope’s mission to mold its participants to serve and contribute to society, he welcomed the opportunity to join the YouthBridge Board of Directors. He sees it as an opportunity to have an impact on the various organizations that support youth. “For me, it’s a passion to give back. I received support and mentoring and know how valuable and life-changing that can be. The main thing that attracted me to YouthBridge was their mission to support the sustainability of a wide number of organizations–their reach in the community is so broad.”

Mr. Tate also volunteers with COTA (Children’s Organ Transplant Association), and devotes the remainder of his time to his wife and two young children.
