YEP STL! Award Presentation 2019

YEP (Youth Engaged in Philanthropy) STL! is a student-led program that evaluates and provides grants to youth-focused, nonprofit organizations in the Greater St. Louis. On May 5th, YEP STL! presented their 2019 grant awards, totaling $10,000, to the following nine organizations:
Angels’ Arms
Dedicated to providing and supporting loving homes for foster children by keeping brothers and sisters together within a nurturing family until a forever home is found.

Center for Hearing & Speech
Provides hearing aids, speech-language therapy as well as vision and hearing screenings to children and adults regardless of their ability to pay.

HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis
Educates and inspires children and the community to make positive oral and overall health choices.

Our Lady’s Inn
Provides pregnant women and their children shelter and care for a new life through humble acts of love.

Ready Readers
Inspires preschool-age children from low-income communities to become readers by reading aloud to them, increasing their exposure to quality books, and providing literacy-related experiences.

Rise Community Development
Partners with communities to build stronger, more equitable St. Louis area neighborhoods.

United Services for Children
Provides pediatric therapy, early intervention and family support services. For more than 40 years, United Services has been a leader in preparing children of all abilities to reach their full potential.

Voices for Children
Advocates for abused and neglected children and youth in St.Louis by representing their best interests in court and in the community.

We Stories
Uses the power of children’s literature to help families talk about race and racism and act as a positive force for change in STL.
