YouthBridge Recognized as ‘Top 50 Grantmaker’ by Network for Good

Every funder wants to see a recipient succeed well after its funding ends. But fundraising capacity is a major challenge for many nonprofits, which not only must compete with each other, but also changing economic and political environments that impact donor behavior. In 2018, YouthBridge joined community foundations across the country in creating the JumpStart Program in partnership with Network for Good (NFG). NFG recently recognized the foundations as “Top 50 Grantmakers” for “their leadership in driving nonprofits to adopt the solutions they can’t easily conceptualize themselves,” according to a statement.
Managed by NFG, the JumpStart Program provides grantees with integrated fundraising software, a personal coach and plans for a sustainable annual giving campaign, monthly donor cultivation and Board fundraising. To date, grantees have seen an average 34% increase in fundraising results from new donors, higher sized gifts, increased board participation and donor retention.

In its inaugural year, YouthBridge selected seven JumpStart grant recipients, each of whom received $3,500 in fundraising assistance and the full benefits of the JumpStart program. Collectively, the participants generated $150,000 in new revenue through JumpStart. You can find grant qualifications here.
