Agency Fundholder Spotlight – Christian Family Services

YouthBridge Community Foundation of Greater St. Louis offers endowment building services to help nonprofit agencies generate income for longer-term initiatives. Delivering access to low-cost, high-quality investment solutions and education on endowments is only the start. YouthBridge assists with the entire process – from establishing an endowment fund to financial reporting to create the greatest impact. YouthBridge also provides matching funds each year to child-serving nonprofits that start or add to their endowment!

Organizations with endowment funds at YouthBridge are called Agency Fundholders. We spotlight one Agency Fundholder to shine more light on these meaningful relationships. This month we feature Christian Family Services, an Agency Fundholder since 2019. We chatted with Jodi Mitchell, Director of Finance and Social Services.

Q. What is your mission?
A. Christian Family Services strives to love, serve, empower, and connect children, families, and individuals in our community through a wide “tree of services” including pregnancy support, counseling, adoption, and many other family services.

Q. Do you have any exciting updates about Christian Family Services?
A. We are thrilled to have added staff members to help even more people with counseling, pregnancy support, pathways to empowerment, and our Fatherhood Initiative.

Q. Is there anything special we should know about?
A. Our annual Celebration Gathering is coming September 21!  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year to support our services to those who need them most.

Q. Explain what your relationship with YouthBridge has meant to your agency.
A. YouthBridge has helped us raise important funds, educated us on donor relations, and encouraged us to invest in our most important asset, which is our staff.
